The Sixth Month, Elul, of the Hebrew Sacred Calendar referred to by its Babylonian name in the Bible in the Book of Nehemiah. Elul in Hebrew means "search" or is the time of repentance before the coming Jewish New Year and Day of Atonement. [1]
