1. PAUSE WORDS HAVE BEEN LEFT OUT, UNLESS EMPHASIZED BY DR. DR. KINLEY: Thank you. Yes, I do wanna have something to say. Yes ma’am, Yes, sir. Now I want you to understand what I'm talking about. These ministers that you've seen come before you, that are being tutored in this school, and taught in this school... When we first begin to say well we'll give this one some license, and we'll put 'em up here, and so forth and so on, nobody had no idea, they didn't have no idea that they could be scattered around in the various different states that they were in, and that there wasn't much of an opportunity for them to exercise their talents, but this is a great big world, pretty big. And so now we have Alabama, we have Arkansas, we have Ohio, Illinois is on the way now, New York, and Michigan, all raised right up in this little school. Now it's plenty for everybody. But now what we wanna do, and you just have to have some patience with it that's all there is to it, we have to put 'em up here and let 'em go through the thing, and you sat and listen and all. Now sometimes people are like this: I don't care who you put up here, somebody that hasn't been up here they would say to themselves, of course the Devil would do that, say "Now if it was me I could have done better than that," and put you up here to explain it, and then you wouldn't know what to say. You couldn't even tell what you did believe in a way that somebody else could understand. Get up and say "Well I believe so and so and so and so." Well why do you believe that? "Uh, well now that makes me, uh..." and you just lost! But here's what I, here's the reason why I say that. Now this thing has got to become a reality in you! You that sat on your seats, and you that are up here on this rostrum preaching or teaching, it's got to be real! Now there's no need for somebody to get up, which we're doing all over this world, getting up talking about Jesus Christ, and when the Holy Spirit was poured out, and speaking in other tongues as the spirit gives utterance; now listen, now you've got a whole lot before you get to that. Then want somebody to, let me put it this way: There's a Pentecostal, and the Fire Baptized, and when you get through with it, they don't know nothing about Dispensational Truth, and as it really is. They don't know nothing about function and operations of things. That's how we got all of our cults. Somebody get over in Acts of Apostles 2:4, and Acts 2:38, and when you get through with it, then they're all holier than thou, and don't know nothing! Now we've just had plenty of that! Go back and investigate as we told you here the other night, that if you read some of the books like the Koran, the Mohammedans, now they're right next to the Roman Catholics in number. The Roman Catholics they claim, uh, how, how many?

STUDENT: Five hundred and eighty million

DR. KINLEY: Five hundred and eighty million of 'em, 580 million. Now the Mohammedans are right next to 'em. Now then next to that you've got to show, you've got to convince the Roman Catholic that he's wrong! You've got to convince the Mohammedan that he's wrong! And you can't read Acts 2:38 and convince 'em; that won't get the job...you got to do better than that. So before we could introduce this thing as a reality we've got to work it through all of these dispensations and ages. Now there was a time, (now you listen at me) there was a time when they did not offer up bullocks and turtledoves and heifers, and had the feast of the Passovers. There was a time when nothing like that was going on, no foot washing, no baptizing. Well what do you know about that? Well when was that when that wasn't going on? You have to know something to work with this. In other words, the world is come to a place now where they're confused. They wanna know but they're confused, and they just grab a hold to a little of anything and hold on to it, establish a whole doctrine upon it. And a lot of preachers up preaching don't know nothing about the law. And you know what they'll say? Say, "Well now we're not living under the law." Dr. Gross, we've had a wonderful experience, haven't we?

DR. GROSS: Oh yeah

DR. KINLEY: for 35, 36 years. “We're not living under the law we're living under the dispensation of Grace. The law came by Moses but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ,” that's what they'll say. And then after they get done saying that, even before they dismiss the service they're indulging and participating in something that was done under the law. They don't know the difference. You try to tell him about it and you know what they'll say to you, say, "Brother, I'm reading out of the New Testament." And he never had a faint glimmer that he don't even know what the New Testament is, never even had an imagination. Now that's the proposition that we're up against down here in this school. People want to do something that you can taste, wanna get a hold of something you can taste, something you can smell, something you can feel, something you can look at. Now when you get away from that you're finished up, yeah you're finished up. Now for example, here we are now, we'll say Acts 2:38 "Repent everyone of you and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." In your imagination, in your imagination, since Yahweh is gathering all things into heaven or into Yahshua the Messiah (listening are you?) In other words He's foreordained and predestined all things to be gathered into Him through Yahshua the Messiah, both which are in heaven and which are on earth. Now could you imagine, get your imagination to working, course "The word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than a two edged sword, piercing even to dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the mind, casting down imaginations and high every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing in captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." You didn't know I could quote like that did you? Now here's what I'm getting after, I want you to see it. Now you imagine and angel, Michael, that slew all of them, so many out there until God had to tell him, "Now Mike that's enough," by himself! Now you imagine something like that. When David saw Mike up there in the threshold of Araunah with his sword drawn and the plague, and Gad, David's seer (and Gad never wrote nothing either, Dr. Williams) now there he is up there. And when Araunah saw him in the vision he went on and hid himself, went on in the barn and hid himself. And Gad told David, "You go up there where you saw Mike standing up there in the threshing hold; don't be afraid." Well now the point I'm trying to make is this! Now you imagine something like that being baptized in a puddle of water in the name of Jesus Christ according to Acts 2:38! Do you see what I'm talking about? See how stupid we are. And you couldn't touch it with a red apple. Get it? Now if God is gonna gather all things back in Him through Yahshua the Messiah (you say Jesus Christ) everything that there is in heaven. And then here we are down here in a puddle of water and gonna baptize all them mighty angels, Michael and Gabriel, in order to... Because he's predestined to go in through Him, and you then you standing up here talking about Acts 2:38. Now that don't mean Acts 2:38 is wrong by any means; Acts 2:38 is right, 100% right. And that was an utterance by the Holy Ghost through the mouth of the Apostle Peter! And it's infallible, and it's accurate, no correction, no modifications to it, and he wasn't talking about no puddle of water. And few people, very few people... Could I, could I just go head and say what I wanna say?

DR. GROSS: Yeah!

DR. KINLEY: Will it be all right? Will you get mad if I say what I wanna... I don't care if you do. (STUDENT BODY LAUGHS) Somebody say "Well I'm gone get mad and I ain't coming back down there no more, I'll go home and stay." You won't be the first one, and more than likely you won't be the last one. And when you get up and go and stay, we'll still be preaching and teaching the same thing. One of your troubles is you don't know where you are. You're in the judgment! Now you gonna get up and leave that, and you're not coming back no more. Somebody say "Well now I don't believe that," but you are. That's where you are right now, in the judgment. Somebody say "Well you have to prove that to me." Now just what's going on down here you're gonna face that even if you go home and don't come back no more, and every goodbye is not gone, folks. Suppose we read Hebrews 9:26&27, and then while we're talking about that… Now listen at me, listen at what I'm saying to you, it'll help. Peter said on Pentecost, and thereafter to, he said, "Judgment must first begin at the house of God." Somebody thought that was a building down the road there somewhere. But that's, that's the house, now this is the house that God has, and judgment is got to first begin right in here. All right now somebody is walking around talking about Life After Death. Now here is the imagination. See we imagine that you're planted out there in the cemetery, and one of these days He's gonna jump down out of the sky and dig up all them folks planted in the cemetery and make them alive; to them that's what life after death is. That's not the way it is. All right, you see but all that kind of thinking, a carnal mind is just shoved the people up into all these various different kinds of things, and got 'em all split and divided up into sects, and cults, and creeds. And then on top of all of that somebody will jump up and say, John 4:24, "God is a spirit and seeketh such to worship Him in spirit and in truth." Now he's already said the thing; you read it out of the Bible! Ain't nothing wrong with what you read out of the Bible, but what's wrong is what you'll make the Bible to mean to somebody is incorrect. He ain't seeking nobody to serve Him in sacrifices and things like that, and the foot washing, and dragging around in the water or something another like that; He ain't seeking nobody to do that! They were doing that before He come Wallace! Say, "Well God is a spirit." Well what do you imagine a spirit to be? Well said "That's God! God is spirit!" And he just run between one thing and the other, and just rocking and reeling, don't know nothing about spirit, which is in terms, you don't know nothing about God. Then they come along and tell you that man is made or created in the likeness and image of God. Now if you wanna see God look at the man. And they looked right at the man and missed him. That's right, looked right at him and missed Him. Don't tell me they didn't do it; they done it back there they missed Him, sure did! Messiah said, "When you see me you see the Father." Well then if that's the case they hadn't never seen Him yet! If they did they didn't know Him, cause He said to Philip when he asked Him said, "Show us the Father that it might satisfied." He said, "When you see me you see the Father." Well they were looking right at Him but they didn't see the Father. Then He said " Philip, have I been all this time with you and you don't know me?." You see what I'm talking about? Now after death comes the judgment; now suppose I told you what that was. A carnal mind, see there's no mystery in getting up preaching, teaching things like that, no mystery to it at all. Freddy, if it's foot washing all I got to do is get me a pan of water and start washing your feet. Now there's no mystery to that. 13th chapter of St. John, when Messiah after supper rose up, and gird Himself about the loins with a towel, and took a basin and begin to wash His disciples feet (you listen to what I'm telling you) and He said "Look you don't know what I'm doing now!" Now you mean to tell me He's standing up there and telling them you don't know what He's doing, and Peter said you... He'd seen Him wash the rest of 'em's feet, and he said, "You'll never wash my feet." Well he evidently knew what He was doing, washing his feet, but he didn't know the meaning of it. And He told him if I don't wash you, you'll have no part with me.

We had a debate here not to long ago, and a man got that all messed up. And here's how he messed it up, I'm gonna tell you, and we got it recorded to where Dr. Williams come from. He's real happy he learned the difference. He went on to say that they knew that baptism of repentance was over. Then he went on and quoted Ephesians 4:4&5. I know what's in the Book too. Paul said "One Lord, one Faith, and one Baptism," and he said "That's water!" Well if it's one Lord, one Faith, and one Baptism, and that's water in this dispensation, then he denied the dispensation of the Holy Spirit! That isn't what Paul was talking about. And then to cap it off and show how further stupid we are, uh, he was about the thing, said "All you have to do is look over in the next chapter." And he said now…here's where he got the foot washing all messed up. Now John in his baptism, Jesus took His disciples down and helped John baptize. I said He took His disciples down! He didn't baptize Himself but the disciples did. Now that's the Book! Now listen at what I'm telling you! Then here he turns up, knowing that Jesus never baptized nobody, then turns up and say, one Lord, one Faith, and one Baptism, and that’s water! Now watch him, watch him get caught right in the, right in the act! Ephesians, in the 5th chapter, (said "All you have to do is look over in the other chapter.") He said "Husbands love your wives even as Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself for it that He might sanctify and cleanse it by the WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD, that He might sanctify and cleanse it, that He might present it unto Himself a glorious Church not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing." Now he just got through saying that Christ was baptizing with water! Now that's not even in the Almanac. Oh, I tell you, it's something else. But yet we're posing as smart folks. Isn't that what He, Isn't that what He said? Isn't that what He done? Now here's what he was doing unconsciously; he's showing baptismal regeneration, water baptism. It's nothing like that. Now if you, suppose you look, just suppose you look. Now you got Paul talking there, you see he didn't even know what Paul was talking about. Now that's the 5th chapter of Ephesians, read the last two verses.

READER: This is a great mystery. . . DR. KINLEY: THIS IS A GREAT MYSTERY; he didn't know nothing about it! DR. WILLIAMS: That's a fact, he didn't know. DR. KINLEY: This is (listen) this is not a little bitty mystery, this is a great big mystery. READER: But I speak concerning. . .

DR. KINLEY: BUT! And, but, if and for are conjunctions that joins together two complete thoughts. Is that almost right Doc? This is a great mystery but I speaking concerning -- what?

READER: Messiah and the assembly. . .

DR. KINLEY: Messiah and the assembly, or as you have it in your King James Version, "Of Christ and the Church." Now let me show you what I'm talking about, and show you how he missed the boat. Now the Messiah had to come in here and fulfill all of these carnal ordinances. See the first tabernacle stood only in meats and drinks and divers washings, divers washings, Divers Washings! Many washings! Now if He's gonna ever hope to fulfill that, where Moses brought 'em to the door of the tabernacle and washed their flesh, and put on the linen garments, and put on the ephod before they could minister in the sanctuary. Now if He's gone fulfill that He's got to wash His disciples feet! That symbolized the Washing of Regeneration by... And He was the Word of God Himself! And it's the Word of God that's washing your feet! If the Word of God don't wash you, you'll never be clean. He told Peter, He said, "Now what I do now you don't know what I'm doing." Don't tell me he didn't know He wasn't washing feet, that wasn't what He meant. But He said you shall know hereafter (know what?) know it's the Washing of Regeneration and the Renewing of the Holy Spirit. And it's not by works of righteousness which we have done, but it's according to His mercy He's saved us by the Washing of Regeneration. You're not meriting nothing! Down here we just happen to know. You can't come down here and read Acts 2:38, and how about when I got the Holy Ghost I quit chewing tobacco, I quit smoking, I quit drinking and them... Well listen, if you had some real good horse sense you oughta…who told you take it up in the first place? Now what part of salvation is it you taking up smoking and chewing and drinking? Them people back there they didn't smoke and chew. We just, we just plain down right stupid! There wasn't no whiskey gin back there in the Garden of Eden. It wasn't no corncob pipes back there, and no cigars back there. And incidentally there wasn't no women back there for him to run around after! See we just don't know what it's all about, and we're so anxious to tell somebody something we don't know. And yet he got in trouble, got everybody in trouble, right back there in the Garden. And here comes along some stupe and he says "Well listen, said you know why we're breaking up all this ground and planting stuff and all like that, and have to work out there in these factories - do you know why it was? If I had been back there where Adam was I would have never touch that tree, fruit of that tree." Here they was blowing and boasting about that. Then God turned around and give the children of Israel a law just like He gave Adam one back there -- broke every precept of it! You just didn't have to be back there to mess up. And when Adam messed up back here he got the whole works in trouble. IT WASN'T NOBODY BACK THERE TO HELP HIM LOSE THE WHOLE THING. AND IT WAS NOBODY WITH MESSIAH WHEN HE COME. As Isaiah said, "Who is this that cometh from Edom with dyed garments from Bozrah traveling in the greatness of His strength? Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel and thy garments like unto one that treadeth the winefat alone in his anger? The answer come back and said, I that speaketh in righteousness, mighty to save, and with my own arm brought salvation down, and there was none with me to help me." That's right. Adam did it all by himself the first one, and HE come on down and HE was by Himself and restored it back. You see what I mean? He never give no ordinance for somebody to go out washing feet, fulfilling the law by washing somebody's feet, and baptizing and all. Water baptism is over long ago. Now that don't mean that you don't need a bath. A hippie there said, uh, Bishop Sheen said a hippie said, uh, went into a psychologist... Now look now who's going into the psychologist. A hippie with his long hair, and all them kind of things, and all tacky, and going into a psychologist. Said, "What'd you come in here for?" He said "Well, I, uh, there's something wrong with me." He said "Well what do you think is wrong with you?" He said, "I've got an overwhelming urge to shave and take a bath." Now he knew there was something wrong! [Audience Laughs] That ain't much difference between a preacher getting up here telling you that you have to get in the water and all, to get Christ as He went down in there, or He sent somebody out to do that. It's just wrong that's all! Now you can argue and argue and chew the rag, it's still wrong! Somebody say "Well didn't Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch..." Say do you know one thing, you ought to learn something about them eunuchs back there. You oughta learn something about Philip too. Oh, I tell you. Now who sent Philip to baptize and carry out the great commission? They quote Matthew 28:19 "Go and baptize 'em in the name of the Father, and in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Ghost." Now listen folks! There has not a one of them Pentecostal people been baptized right, not even according to what they say. And you couldn't hold him still long enough to tell him nothing for him telling you about when I got the Holy Ghost and speak in other tongues as the spirit gives him utterance. And that delusion is just gone all over the world. And now he's got his finger on something in the Bible. We're not in no disputation about what's in the Bible it's your understanding of it. It's wonderful.

Philip meets the Ethiopian Eunuch on the way between Gaza as he went on down. Well where was the Ethiopian Eunuch coming from? He was coming from up at Jerusalem. If all this Acts 2:38, and was baptizing, why didn't they baptize him up there? Why would he have run way off out here in the dessert or something? He would have been up there attending service.

DR. WILLIAMS: That's right, that's where he'd been at.

DR. KINLEY: See you get that horse all messed up. What's Stephen doing down there where he was at? He was selected to serve tables up at Jerusalem; he was appointed by the Apostles, all seven of 'em. They were not with Yahshua the Messiah when He walked around over the Judean hills! They were not witnesses to the things that He did! And He told them, the Apostles I'm talking about, that they were the witnesses not the deacons.

DR. WILLIAMS: That's what it said Doc.

DR. KINLEY: And when He said go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, baptizing 'em in the name, there wasn't no deacons! See and let me tell you this: they were under another dispensation. See now you've just got this thing all twisted up Bishop, and just raring and charging and spitting and sweating and carrying on, and can't nobody tell you nothing. Acts 238; Acts 2:4: "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all together in one accord in one place, and suddenly there came from heaven..." We ain't having no trouble reading no Bible. Messiah told them just before ascending (now you listen at me Roger), He said John, after He come out of the grave He breathed on the disciples. We'll what'd He do that for? What did He do that for? Why did He breathed on His disciples? Why don't you stop and find out something about that. And He said "Now John truly baptized with water but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Now you go back to Jerusalem and stay right there, don't leave." He didn't tell 'em to go back there and cast lots to see who was gonna take Judas' place. He told 'em to go back there and set it out until they received the Holy Spirit. They went back there and cast lots and chose Matthias. You got to know something about the Purpose here, not about reading, but about the Purpose.

Then one Biblical Commentator had the nerve to say this: that the Ethiopian Eunuch was a black man; he was the first Gentile. Yeah I got it in a Bible at the house that he was the first Gentile that made it into the Church. Now you see there, now that's not so! Freddy it's not so! You can argue till your head falls off it just ain't so. Then got the nerve on top of all of that to turn right over there to the 15th chapter of Acts of Apostles, well let's come by the 10th. Peter and them went down to Cornelius' house. Cornelius was a Roman Centurion, the first Gentile. And while Peter spake down there the Holy Spirit was poured out on him, and Peter commanded him to be baptized. And Yahshua the Messiah called his attention right back to the point where He said "John truly baptized with water but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence." Why don't you try reading the 11th chapter once in a while. I might say to you, well why did He pour the Holy Ghost out on him before he got baptized? He didn't pour the Holy Ghost out on these back here before they were baptized. He didn't pour the Holy Ghost out on them before they got baptized; they were baptized at John's baptism first. And some of the preachers say "Well that's one of them freaks we can't explain." No, I'll tell you what was happening. See God was grafting the Gentile in by Faith according to the way He made the promise to Abraham. That's what's happening. The Gentile was grafted in; they were not to be planted Freddy! And they couldn't be grafted into the tree until she's grown up in fruition. Well what about them Jews? A lot of 'em didn't, wouldn't accept Him at all. When they went out there, John said to 'em "What'd you come out here for, to see the wind blow the weeds around?" You see I just give it to you so you can understand it the next time you in... Them is the Sanhedrin Council, them is the big shots. They're out there speculating around. And John said, "What'd you come out here to see..." Then he said, "Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? What you come out here for anyhow Freddy, out here in the wilderness? Who sent for you? Come out here to see the wind blow the weeds around." They didn't realize that John was the voice, and Isaiah talked about, was a voice, forerunner, that was to come, that was to come before. Just like Moses he come down here into Egypt and brought 'em out before they got up here to Pentecost, or up here to the mountain. Now if that's so then John he's got to come. Yes, sir, the law and the prophet got to come together just exactly right. Now when you can see what you doing, understand how it works, then you don't make all them blunders. Now then, when John went out, uh, when they went out there to bapt... Now them that rejected (that's what I wanna get you to see) them that rejected John's baptism or rejected, as it is called, the council of God, they wouldn't get baptized. The Sanhedrin Council, the big shots, they just was not baptized. Now listen, listen. I just wanna show you the picture so you can see it. Now here we are up here on the day of Pentecost, up there on the day of Pentecost, and I'm talking about Acts 2:38, Acts 2:38. Them people that was up there at Pentecost, on the day of Pentecost, they had been baptized, a lot of 'em, not the Sanhedrin Council. But they had been baptized at John's baptism (listen at me close now) before they got the Holy Spirit. Now look, watch it now. On that same day after the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Apostles, and then they began to preach, and on that same day there was about 120 of 'em. And when therefore that day was gone the Holy Spirit was poured out on - how many?

STUDENTS: 3000

DR. KINLEY: Three thousand in that one day. Now I want you to see what I'm talking about Freddy. I want you to understand what I'm talking about. Then Peter, well then Peter in his preaching, he showed them the things that caused them to desire (you understand) is because he told them that they had with their wicked hands crucified both Lord and Christ. And they said, “What shall we do then?” And said, “Repent, everyone of you, and be immersed, and be baptized in the Name!" He never said the water Williams, he said the Name!

DR. WILLIAMS: That's right he did. That's right that's what he said. That's right. That's right Doc.

DR. KINLEY: And you’re just sitting up here reading water in it. Now here's what I'm talking about Williams, I want you to see what I'm talking about. Them that rejected John's baptism it was to late for them to get baptized in the water after His death. [Side 2 of Tape] To late. Freddy I said it was to late! How did it get to be to late? Because when they were being baptized there at John's baptism, they were baptized before He died in order to baptize 'em into His death! Now since He's resurrected you can't baptize nobody into His death because He's not dead! He's not dead, and He's not out in no cemetery. Said, "Why seek ye the living among the dead?" What are you running around out here in the cemetery looking for? Them little ignorant preachers standing round talking about baptizing somebody into His death, where'd you get that idea from? Said, "Right there; Brother I'm a Bible Christian, I want you to read the 6th chapter of Romans and begin with the first verse!" Hey listen I read that too! I’m afraid he didn't. Suppose we try it then.

READER: What shall we say then. . .

DR. KINLEY: What shall we say then... Listen Doc, if somebody would come up to you and say "What shall we say then?" you'd think he was nuts! Now you got a, but, you got a chapter there, the beginning of a chapter. Now the subject is in the 5th chapter, and in the 8th chapter the subject and the predicate is divided. If you wanna know what Paul is talking about you have to go back to the 5th chapter. Well suppose you go back to the 5th chapter, take the 14th verse.

READER: Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam. . . DR. KINLEY: Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam down to Moses... Read! READER: even over them that had not sinned. . . DR. KINLEY: (Repeats) READER: after the similitude of Adam's transgression. . . DR. KINLEY: (Repeats) READER: who is the figure. . .

DR. KINLEY: Who is the figure... Adam was a figure of Messiah that was to come. Now what you talking about? We're talking about from Adam on down to Messiah, in that you have the Jews included in there. From Adam to Moses - you can't take 'em out, so you just might as well leave 'em in Roger! That's what Paul is talking about. He's talking about from Adam and the Jews, and come right on down. Death reigned from Adam to Moses on down to the Jews. Yes indeed. Yes the law was in effect, but John was the last one. And that thing come clear on down unto John and Messiah. That's the reason why they have to get baptized, not in His Name, but they were baptized with the baptism of repentance. And then John said to Him "---- ---- ----, and He that cometh after me is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I'm not even worthy to loose, He shall baptize you with Fire and the Holy Spirit, or with the Holy Spirit and Fire." Then if John's baptism goes over, then the next baptism that's to be had will be spiritual baptism. That's what Peter is talking about there on the day of Pentecost. And now Jesus told him after He come out of the grave… I want you to see this and Luke 24:44. Up here is where He set down and He begin to tell 'em, and He said "Now these are the things I was telling you about when I was telling you about up yonder in the mountain of transfiguration how that I must suffer and die." And Peter began to rebuke Him and He said "Get thee behind me Satan." And He said it Himself cause He had to die, had to die in order to fulfill the law. Pete said "Nothing like that's gonna happen to you." I want you to see now. So then what is happening now, you see, when you come after Him, had to baptize 'em before He died in order to baptize 'em into His death. Read the 6th chapter and beginning with the first verse there, then you'll catch on. And then after Messiah (Listen now! Let me put this in before I go any further with that). After His resurrection He sit down and He told the boys "This is that which I was talking to you about (I'm talking about Luke 24, 44&46) these are the things, and He opened their understanding in the Scriptures." Now He's resurrected from the dead! He's died and resurrected from the dead, and then He begin to explain to 'em what it meant to be baptized into His death. After His resurrection, He never told 'em to after He'd resurrected and explained it. And He began to tell 'em how He must suffer, and how He must be buried, and how He must be raised from the dead the third day. Paul out yonder preaching, and he said there in the 15th chapter of 1st Corinthians, "Now if we preach that Christ was crucified out there on the cross, and that He was buried, and that He resurrected from the dead on the third 3rd day (Now listen! Watch this one!) according to the Scriptures that was written back there." And He comes on after them, He had to die, but the Apostles they didn't see it when He was talking about dying, said "Nothing like that can't happen to you." You see they didn't know that the Scriptures had said that He would die for the restoration of Israel. All them sacrifices offered up out there on that altar was a show or sign of His death. When they offered up the Paschal Lamb down there in Egypt, it was a show or sign that Messiah had to be offered up. When Moses took the serpent out yonder in the wilderness and put him on the pole, and when the serpents, fiery serpents, went in the wilderness and was biting 'em, said they looked upon the serpent, and they didn't die when they were bitten by the serpents. And Messiah said, "As Moses lifted up the serpent, if the Son of Man be lifted up from the earth He'll draw all men unto you." And now here comes Mohammed and some of the boys talking about that He didn't die out yonder on the cross, and every bit of Scripture is denying it. And you know just as well as I do, that He was the seed of Abraham planted in Joseph's new tomb. Just like you go out here and plant seed in the field, in the vegetable kingdom. And you know if you don't plant it, it'll never come up, and so He had to be planted. Now He's planted, and now He's come up and said " Boys, this is what I was telling you about." And He began to show 'em how the scripture said back yonder, Jeremiah, and Moses, and all the rest of 'em back there in the prophecy. Not only that, "I'm (by myself) "I'm the resurrection and the life, he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." And then He went out in the heart of the earth. And when He resurrected from the dead Himself (Matthew 27:52, yes ma’am and Yes, sir, it will stay in the Bible!) Many of the saints that slept in the dust of the earth rose and went on into Jerusalem and appeared to 'em. They didn't go into Rome they went into Jerusalem. He resurrected from the dead, tarried 40 days. What are you staying 'round 40 days for? Cause the scripture show that there was 40 days back there at -----, and 40 years, one day for a year. And He's got to die before Israel can cross the River Jordan and go into Palestine; got to stay down there in the wilderness for 40 days. He's got to fulfill it. So He raised from the dead, He's got to stay here 40 days before He can ascend. Then He ascends on into heaven, Himself, now to appear in the presence of God for us. Yes indeed, brother I know what I'm talking about. And then He poured out the Holy Spirit. Everyone that would repent and apologize for crucifying the King of Glory, and He was crucified according to the scripture... Ain't got no time to be fooling around with no, uh, taking somebody out here and baptizing 'em. Then listen here Freddy, here's something else He said while He was tarrying. He said Freddy, said now "He that believeth on me as the Scriptures has said out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters, this spake He of the Holy Spirit that was poured out on them on the day of Pentecost," and that water that was flowing up there on the day of Pentecost when they were speaking up there, the living water, because they were preaching according to the scriptures. Because He'd sat down and opened up their understanding, and showed how that He had to die after He'd resurrected from the dead, and then the ---- ----. And this is the water they they're baptized in, meaning the spirit. Because when Paul was preaching with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven, and it is preached as the Holy Spirit was poured out on 'em and they received the Holy Ghost. Them that didn't believe, then Peter said, "You must repent everyone of you, you've taken wicked hands and crucified the Lord of Glory." And now all of them that was at John's water baptism, if they would believe then they would be grafted in. Again the Apostle Paul said in the 11th chapter of Romans and the 17th verse, because He done raised up out of there he can't be planted, he's got to be grafted in among the branches. So if he just... Paul said, "If they continue not in unbelief they would be grafted in again." I just want you to see, I want you to understand what's going on here. See because them that wouldn't accept His death, it was to late for them to get baptized in the water. According to the scriptures the ----- had to be ---- that day, Yes, sir, when they, when they confessed that they had misrepresented, misunderstood the scriptures, and then the Holy spirit was poured out on 'em after they apologized for crucifying Him, about 3000 that day. That's what Pete's talking about. ---- ---- ---- ---- ----. I got one more I want you to read, Freddy, y'all read that. I, I ain't forgot it, Hebrews 9:26:27, all right.

READER: Then must He have often suffered. . . DR. KINLEY: (Repeats) READER: since the foundation of the world

DR. KINLEY: since the foundation of the world. See that's one of them types and shadows showing forth His death and suffering before He come in the world, every word. In the 7th chapter of Acts, Stephen preaching, said he saw, David saw Him ever before his face when he testified of the suffering before hand and the glory that should follow thereafter. The glory follows after the suffering. I want you to see now that He must have suffered often. Somebody say "Well I thought He was born of the virgin Mary on the 25th day of December." No, I beg your pardon that's not Christmas day, and incidentally while we're on that we'll have a Christmas sermon, and bring that ---- ----. But let me go on with divine healing now. But now right here, right here what we're talking about, talking about this day, I mean that day. What day? The 5th day of June. . .

DR. GROSS: That's right DR. KINLEY: AD33, is that right? Is it the 5th day or the 6th? DR. GROSS: 6th

DR. KINLEY: Sixth day, see I just want you to catch me when I make mistakes. I make 'em on purpose sometimes to see if you gone catch me. That was the 6th day of June. What time of day was it?

Students: 9:00 o'clock

DR. KINLEY: Nine o'clock in the morning. Yeah, that was before the saloons opened. They hadn't had time to get drunk. And on that 6th day of June, AD33, when the Holy Spirit was poured out, and this is the 6th day of June that He's speaking to 'em in the congregation of the assembly down here. And this at Pentecost is nothing else but a fulfillment of this beginning at Pentecost. Now it said there when this law was given to them they were judged according to the law. Now here comes the Holy Spirit in here, (this is judgment day) it's got to start from there. But before then it was all these types and shadows, they reflected it on down. See He must have suffered often. I just want you to see what it is all about. That the 26th verse, all right read the 26 & 27 now, repeat it so we can get it to get it together. Now what we're talking about is Life After Death, that's what we're talking about. All right, read on.

READER: For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world. . . DR. KINLEY: since the foundation of the world

READER: Now once! I would have you to know, better read it again somebody's, somebody's sleep, somebody's sleep! What do you mean somebody's sleep? What do you mean? Preacher standing around here talking about doing them things that was done under the law, he's sleep. Cause He appeared in the end of the world -- say Roger that was an end of the world! Joel when he was prophesying he told Israel to prepare to meet the Lord thy God. And some idiot thought he was talking about way down yonder and yet to come some -----. And that was Him walking that was around here in a body, and he was telling 'em to prepare to meet Him. And when He was crucified out there on the cross that was the Day of the Lord in the end of that age, or in the end of that world. You see and we still got the same old thing dragging it right on over here, and swearing by all that's Holy we know what it's all about! You don't even live in the same world or the same age. He appeared in the end of that age or in the end of the world. What for? Read!

READER: but now once in the end of the age hath He appeared to put away sin. . .

DR. KINLEY: Now once in the end of the world hath He appeared (He's already appeared) to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself, to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. Now when a man is got the Holy Spirit in him, ('M NOT TALKING ABOUT HYPOCRISY I'M TALKING ABOUT REALITY) when he's got the Holy Spirit in him he does not commit sin! WHY? Because His seed remaineth and he cannot sin! WHY? Because he is born of God! Now I didn't say that he was born of a woman! Job said, "Man that is born of a woman is but a few days, and he cometh forth as the flower of the grass, he whithereth and wasteth away." Yeah man dies and gives up the ghost, and where is he? "If a man die shall he live again?" Man that is born of a... Yeah, you got a different story. Man that is born of God is different from the man that is born of the woman! THE MAN THAT IS BORN OF GOD HE'LL NEVER DIE AND HE CANNOT SIN, BECAUSE HE WAS MADE TO MAKE AN END OF SIN. Yes, sir, now He's appeared once in the end of the world to put away sin by the sacrifices... But you know what the trouble is? You see everybody's running around here they think that when you quit sinning that means you quit chewing tobacco. And they even got a song, "This train don't carry no snuff dippers. This train don't carry no tobacco chewers. This train, oh this train they don't carry all this." Talking about somebody's morals. You see what I'm talking about? Then somebody jumped up and said "Well listen here! I've been a lady all my life." THAT AIN'T NO MORE THAN YOU OUGHT'A BEEN -- WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU? Oh I tell you, just as ignorant and stupid as we can be. And now we've picked up all these habits, and now they calling them sins. John said, "That there is a sin that is not unto death I do not say that you should pray for it." What is that?...the sin of ignorance. And a man or a woman that's, I don't care if it's eating cabbage if it hurts her you don't need to worry to much about it. They run down there to the doc, (I'm talking about the doctors) whiskey is just about done eat his kidney's out. He goes down there, the doctor says "Listen, if you don't quit drinking boy you ain't gone have no kidneys." Well now the doctor said that. You say "Well buddy why come you quit drinking?" "The doctor said"... You see what I'm talking about? The doctor can stop him quicker than God. The doctor stopped him from drinking. The doctor stopped him from doing certain things. Then he done got all sanctified. That's right, we're just as stupid as we can be. Can't chew, we can't smoke, we can't drink, you can't do nothing to entertain yourself, said this wasn't designed to make your pleasures any shorter. That's right, you think you done something, done something to help God. Then you walking around boasting about it, say "I know I'm sanctified." How do you know? Said "I quit chewing; I quit drinking." Sanctified, what's the meaning of sanctification? I'm set apart, I'm separated; I'm sanctified. Sanctified by what? Sanctified by my habits that I quit. Now that's right Roger, now that's right. Now I don't mean, I do not mean to criticize anybody's best efforts, no, I do not mean to. But you're not anything until you get the Holy Spirit. Well now here's somebody running around here talking about they don't chew and they don't drink and they don't smoke. WELL WHAT ABOUT LYING? WHAT ABOUT ALL THIS MALICE YOU GOT IN YOUR HEART? See you don't look at that literally. And when you up here testifying around that you don't do this, and you don't do that, and you don't do the other no more, and you got this thing all twisted up; well the Holy Spirit will stop you from lying too. Won't it Bishop?

BISHOP SHORT: uh-huh,

DR. KINLEY: Yes indeed, it'll stop you from acting a fool. And said He's appeared once in the end... That's why we tell you that this is another world; this is another age. See and we are not living under the dispensation of the law where everything that they did is natural. Everything over here is spiritual. See everything over there is natural; everything over here is spiritual. We have this treasurer in earthern vessels. We have a mortal body. And it is the spirit in you that will change you from a mortal to an immortal. Well now when you got saved and got sanctified and all, somebody said, "Well I don't eat no pork." What's the matter you don't eat no pork brother? He says "Well you know it says back there anything not splitting the hoof, you know what I'm talking about?" Oh, I tell you, I tell you buster, ain't it a good one. He's all careful about his diet, but he ain't a bit careful about lying and deceiving somebody, denying the spiritual things, and using all these natural implements and things, which was to bring you up to the spirit. And right now while you're talking about "I don't chew no tobacco; I don't drink no whiskey; I don't do this, and I don't do that and the other and all. And I got the Holy Ghost doing this, that, and the other." Say listen, you're lying too; the Holy Ghost that you have it oughta stop you from that just like it stopped you from these other things you're claiming. How did you get stopped from drinking and chewing and all them kind of things, got stopped from that and you didn't get stopped from lying? Say look, I've been in the Holiness Church! I was in there 15 years, you can't tell me nothing! --- --- ---. I know all about them lies, and hiding around behind something. Now your appetite don't change when you get the Holy Spirit; it doesn't change that. It isn't your appetite that change it's YOUR CARNAL MIND THAT CHANGE. You still got a belly, and you ought to have sense enough to know when you got enough to eat. The doctor standing around talking about, uh, the preacher standing around, greaaat big fat somebody (I'll be done in a minute) standing around here, oh just roaring. And he's a big something another, you know, when you look at him he ain't much of a preacher. That ain't our idea of a preacher, great big old... "There's John he's gonna hang on to that whiskey bottle, and here he comes up the street there; every time I see him he's drunk! And that whiskey bottle is gonna carry him right on to hades." Shoel, you know what I mean I just won't say it on the count of the people. But here he is a great big old, staggering out there. That man's drinking himself to death, and this hypocrite standing here in the pulpit talking about the man's drinking himself to death, and here he's a glutton! Got the sisters cooking up all the chicken, and everything else, and he's overweight by 10 or 15 pounds or something another like that, talking about "John's drinking himself to death." And here he's digging his grave with a knife and fork, and you got a bottle. That's right. See we're stupid; we're just so stupid we don't know what to do. (STUDENT BODY LAUGHS)

Now then, let me say this cause I haven't gotten to my text there yet. But I'm not gone, I'm not gonna have no long drawn out... But said now in the next verse of the 27th, get the, uh, uh. . .

READER: As it is appointed unto men once to die. . . DR. KINLEY: And as it is appointed unto men. . . READER: once to die. . .

DR. KINLEY: Just one time! When God appointed death to Adam, just one time that got it. He didn't say, "Well Adam, why don't you go ahead and die, don't you know I've appointed death on you?" Just one time, one time, and as it is appointed unto men once to die, well what happened?

READER: and after this the judgment. . . DR. KINLEY: but after this, after death, then what? READER: the judgment. . .

DR. KINLEY: Now listen, he died, Adam did, the first Adam he died. The second Adam come here and died! He resurrected, so this is after death, so this is the judgment you're in now. After death comes the judgment. Judgment must first begin at the house of God, and that judgment goes forth from Mt. Zion. Oh I tell you children it means a whole lot. You don't have nothing to lose in hearing the Gospel, and God ain't gonna save you on your terms. You gonna have to be what He wants you to be. I hope you got something out of it.

AUDIENCE: (Applause)
