To see how the Solar System manifests the [[Tabernacle Pattern]], let’s first get an overall picture of the Solar System.  The Solar System is always viewed as a horizontal plane.  But I’ve rotated the picture so that the Sun is at the top, making it is easier to see how the Solar System fits the Pattern of the Tabernacle.  (Note: Distances are not drawn to scale.)

At the heart of our solar system is the Sun which correlates with '''Yahweh Elohim, or Yahshua, the Son of Yahweh'''. Taking on shape and form in the cloud of primordial matter – gas and dust – at the beginning of the condensation of the solar system, the Sun is a tremendous thermonuclear furnace, fusing “about 600 million tons of hydrogen” (fr. <u>Astronomy</u>, published by Readers Digest, p. 58) into helium every second.  In the process, some of the matter is converted into energy in all bands of the electromagnetic spectrum by the formula E=MC<sup>2</sup>.  One radiation band is visible light upon which all living things on earth depend. 


Moving out from the Sun, we first encounter Mercury. In classical mythology, Mercury was the '''messenger''' of the gods, so this planet correlates nicely with '''Gabriel''', the messenger Archangel on the Ark of the Covenant. It’s interesting to note that Mercury’s orbit takes 88 earth days. In chemistry, the symbol for Mercury is Hg, or Holy Ghost.


The second planet is Venus. Venus’s surface is concealed in '''thick clouds''', and it was within the Cloud in the MHP that the High Priest saw the flash of the Shekinah. Also see [[Exodus:19|Ex. 19]]:9 & 16 - And Yahweh said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud….” Venus is named for the goddess of '''love''', and '''Yahweh is Love''' ([[1John:4|1 John 4]]:8). 


Our Earth is the third rock from the Sun.  Light from the sun takes about 8 minutes to reach earth, orbiting about 93 million miles from the Sun.  Pictures of earth from space show the blue seas, clouds and polar ice caps.     

[[Leviticus:16|Lev. 16]]:2  “And Yahweh said unto ‘Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for '''I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.'''’”  In their visions of Elohim, Moses and John both saw Yahweh’s Purpose unfold within the Cloud.

Earth is the only planet in our Solar System where scientists have found '''life''', including the plant and animal kingdoms and man.  And it is here that Yahweh Elohim has indeed appeared to his creatures– or the Word was made flesh ([[John1|John 1]]:14) - and is manifesting His purpose from start to finish, from alpha to omega.  It is here that history reveals His Story, for it is here that the Holy Spirit spoke through and moved to action Moses and the Prophets.  It is here that Yahshua fulfilled the Old Covenant and moved it out of the way.  It is here that the Holy Spirit was poured out to mankind collectively, to the Jew first and then to the Gentile, beginning on the day of Pentecost ([[Acts:2|Acts 2]]).  [[Earth’s daily and annual cycles]] confirm the daily and annual priestly ministrations in the Tabernacle, and witness to the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Yahshua the Messiah.  

 

Mars is the fourth planet. In classical mythology, Mars is the god of '''war''', so this planet correlates with the '''Michael''', the '''warrior''' Archangel on the Mercy Seat of the Ark. 


Traveling outward, we pass through the '''Asteroid Belt'''.  Asteroids are large pieces of rock, or rock and metal, most of which orbit the Sun between Mars and Jupiter. Astronomers believe they are bits and pieces left over from the formation of our solar system 5 billion years ago. Astronomers have recorded the orbits of over 4000 asteroids. They believe there could be well over 10,000 that have diameters greater than 62 miles, and an even greater number of smaller ones. Ceres is the largest of the asteroids with a diameter of about 600 miles, and it has recently been promoted to the new category of “dwarf planet.” This asteroid belt correlates with the '''Veil between the MHP and the HP'''.

The fifth planet is Jupiter, largest in our Solar System and with a mean distance from the sun of 483 million miles. Named for the king of the Roman gods, Jupiter correlates easily with Yahshua who is the '''King of Kings'''. Cloaked in thick clouds with great striped markings and the giant Red Spot, the appearance of Jupiter immediately brings to mind Yahshua at the crucifixion after he had been striped by the Roman scourging and pierced in the side. 


Jupiter manifests as the '''savior of the earth''' for “Jupiter protects the earth from impacts. Without Jupiter nearby, long-period [[comets]] would collide with our planet up to 1000 times more frequently” (see [http://www.astro-observer.com/solarsystem/jupiter/index.html Astro-Observer.com]). Many of us might remember actually witnessing this principle in action when, back in July 1994, the 21 fragments of Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 smashed into Jupiter.  The '''fragmentary nature of this comet’s head''' had been first observed in March 1993, and “calculations showed that '''the [comet’s] original single nucleus was ripped apart by Jupiter's gravity''' in July 1992, when it passed within 50,000 kilometers of the planet” ( [http://www.psc.edu/science/MacLow/CometOrbit.html PSC.edu] ).  In making her discovery of the comet in 1993 while scrutinizing photographs of the night sky, astronomer Carolyn Shoemaker exclaimed, '''"This looks like a squashed comet!"''' This manifests the prophecy of Messiah and Satan when Yahweh Elohim spoke to the Serpent in [[Genesis:3|Genesis 3]]:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed (Messiah); '''it shall bruise thy head,''' and thou shalt bruise his heel.” 



Lord of the Rings, Saturn is the 6th planet, 886.7 million miles from the Sun. Second only and similar in size to Jupiter, Saturn’s spectacularly beautiful rings immediately seize the attention of scientists and non-scientists alike, bringing to mind [[Ezekiel:28|Ezek. 28]]:17’s description of the '''anointed cherub''' that had been in the Garden of Eden and bewitched Eve – “Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:” 


In mythology, Saturn was of a race of elder deities called Titans, and was the father of Jupiter, among others.  '''Saturn devoured his children as they were born''', though one son, Jupiter, escaped that fate and later vanquished Saturn. In [[Revelation:12|Revelation 12]]:4, we read of the Dragon: “And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and '''the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born'''. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto Yahweh, and to his throne.” And it is this man child – Yahshua the Messiah – who has overcome the devil. 


An amazing correlation deals with the rings of the planet Saturn. “Scientists generally believe that the material in the main rings consists of the pulverized remains of satellites overtaken by what is called the Roche limit…” Inside this boundary, “powerful tidal forces resulting from the planet’s gravity prevent particles from coalescing into larger bodies, and they tear apart any entering moons...” (from <u>The Far Planets</u>, published by Time-Life Books, 5th Printing 1991, pages 98 and 101). '''We might say that Saturn has consumed his own sons (his moons or satellites) to fashion these great rings, the ornaments of his beauty'''.

 

Readers of the Textbook recall that Dr. Kinley devoted considerable space to quoting from Alexander Hislop’s <u>The Two Babylons</u>, in which the author correlates Saturn with the Mystery of Iniquity and the Roman Catholic Church.  In a transcript called “Satanic Spirits” from June 1971, Dr. Kinley correlates the 3 rings in the Papal crown to the 3 main rings of Saturn, and he points out that “the ancient name of Rome was Saturnia.”

In an astonishing development, NASA scientists  [http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/cassini/multimedia/pia09188.html announced] on March 27, 2007, that the Cassini spacecraft has observed a "bizarre six-sided feature encircling the north pole of Saturn... Originally discovered and last observed by a spacecraft during NASA's Voyager flybys of the early 1980's, the new views of this polar hexagon taken in late 2006 prove that this is an unusually long-lived feature on Saturn."

According to the [http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/news/press-release-details.cfm?newsID=735 Press Release], "'''This is a very strange feature''', lying in a precise geometric fashion '''with six nearly equally straight sides'''," said Kevin Baines, atmospheric expert and member of Cassini's visual and infrared mapping spectrometer team at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif. '''"We've never seen anything like this on any other planet'''. Indeed, Saturn's thick atmosphere where circularly-shaped waves and convective cells dominate '''is perhaps the last place you'd expect to see such a six-sided geometric figure, yet there it is.'''" 

“'''A second hexagon''', significantly darker than the brighter historical feature, is also visible in the Cassini pictures…The new images taken in thermal-infrared light show '''the hexagon extends much deeper down into the atmosphere than previously expected''', some 100 kilometers ('''60 miles''') below the cloud tops.”

Saturn’s north pole is currently in winter and lies hidden in the 15-year long polar night.  Yet NASA scientists using Cassini’s infrared instruments have pierced the veil of darkness to reveal these '''two''' concentric '''6'''-sided structures that extend '''60''' miles down into the Saturnian clouds.  This capacity to discern formations hidden in the Saturnian night brings to mind Scriptures speaking of Yahweh Elohim's discernment:

Psalms 139:11  If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me;” even the night shall be light about me.
12  Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. 

Heb 4:12  For the Word of Yahweh is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

So, while the existence of such a 6-sided formation was completely counter-intuitive as far as the astronomers’ expectations, Yahweh is using it to reveal '''6-6-6''' on Saturn at this time.  Since we use the physical to understand the spiritual (Romans 1:19-20), this revelation in the celestial heavens points to the universal revealing of the Man of Sin in the spiritual heavens.

Ezek. 28:15  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, '''till iniquity was found in thee'''.

2 Thessalonians:2:3   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of Messiah) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and '''that man of sin be revealed''', the son of perdition;

Revelation 13:18  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and '''his number is Six hundred threescore and six'''.


 

It is significant that Yahweh has manifested these two Great Mysteries, the Mystery of Righteousness and the Mystery of Iniquity, in the Holy Place of the Solar System.  In so doing, Yahweh is showing us the Mysteries’ overriding influence on one’s soul — the soul being the Holy Place of the Spirit-Soul-Body tabernacle of man.    In the Degeneration, the soul is dominated by the Mystery of Iniquity, represented by Saturn  (see [[Romans:5|Rom 5]]:14).  In the Regeneration, the soul has repented and turned, subjecting oneself unto the Mystery of Righteousness, symbolized by Jupiter (see [[Romans:7|Rom. 7]] & [[Romans:8|8]]; [[Colossians:2|Col. 2]]:11-13, [[Colossians:3|3]]:1-17).  This is in stark contrast to the opinion of the millions who believe their souls are guided and shaped by Astrology, a false science that holds that the positions of the planets in relation to the constellations of the Zodiac have a bearing on human endeavors.  In the Glossary at the end of Volume 1 of the Textbook, Dr. Kinley labels Astrology a pseudo-science.

As we move outward in the Tabernacle pattern into the Court Round About, we find the cup of Holy Anointing Oil, with the principle of '''Spirit'''. Next we find the Laver, showing an immersion in '''water''', or a burial. The outermost vessel in the Tabernacle is the Altar of Sin Sacrifice, showing blood or '''death'''. 


The inner 6 planets can all be seen with the naked eye. They were known to the ancients who gave them the names of the gods of mythology. As we move outward in the Solar System from Saturn, the more distant planets have only been revealed since the advent of high powered telescopes in the 19th and 20th Centuries. Yahweh has motivated astronomers to name these outermost bodies in correlation with the principles involved with the vessels of the Court Round About. The 7th planet, Uranus, is named for the god of the starry heaven - heaven pointing to the non-terrestrial or '''Spiritual'''.  Eighth is Neptune, the Roman god of the seas, easily correlating with the '''water''' in the Laver.  And last, Pluto is the Roman god of the underworld, the realm of the '''dead'''.  Pluto was discovered and named as a planet in 1930. Although many names were proposed for this frigid, remote world, astronomers nevertheless were moved to adopt the name suggested by an 11-year old English girl ([http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pluto_(planet) Wikipedia Pluto] ), the name of the god associated with death, to manifest the death at the Altar in the Pattern.

 

Recently, “the world's astronomers, under the auspices of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), have concluded two years of work defining the lower end of the planet scale….”  See [http://www.iau2006.org/mirror/www.iau.org/iau0603/index.html IAU2006.org] .  Meeting in Prague in August 2006, the astronomers agreed to reclassify Pluto as a “dwarf planet,” a new category which now includes also Ceres (in the Asteroid Belt) and [[Eris]] (formerly known as 2003 UB313 or Xena).  Pluto is still in the Solar System; it hasn't gotten any smaller or lost any of its mass. The only thing that's changed is how man talks about it.

 

While we are on the topic of Pluto, let us not overlook Pluto’s moon, Charon.  In mythology, Charon was the boatman who ferried the souls of the dead across the River Styx to Hades, the realm of the dead.  Today, we would refer to Charon as a “'''gatekeeper'''.”  As we move outward in the Tabernacle from the Altar, we next pass through the '''Gate'''.  So, once again, Yahweh has moved the astronomers to assign a name that manifests the Tabernacle’s Pattern.
